What is SodaStream?
SodaStream is a company which makes machines to carbonate your drinks, they have a large
selection of syrups you add to your water to make your desired beverage, or you
can carbonate your homemade mixes such as lemonade, orange juice, or pretty
much any liquid you wish to fizz.
SodaStream commercializes their products worldwide because of the great idea that this
company sells, the product is also designed for sustainability, as a matter of
fact a recent study says that people who own a SodaStream machine drink 43%
more water than the rest of the population, and it is not hard to see why, this
machine can add incentive for children to drink water and quit on soda, and for
adults it is very encouraging to be able to add some flavor to water,
especially if they don’t like the taste of water, SodaStream even has a line of
syrups to give your drink a twist, they have regular fruity flavors, they have
gourmet luxurious syrups, they even have energizing mixes to add to your
regular water.
Of course
all of this fun ends when you put your bottles on the sink and have to wash
them for their next use, fortunately, here’s a guide for safely washing your
bottles without any unfortunate incidents which mess up the product you bought,
and cause you an extra expense.
How do I clean my SodaStream Bottles
properly?
First of all
here’s a recommendation, if you have time, clean the SodaStream Bottle right
away because a half-empty drink, that not only contains water can dry out and
cleaning it could turn into a more difficult task than you expected; tip number
two, if you don’t have time just pour some water into the bottle to prevent it
from sticking to the container, very well, with these tricks taken into account
we can begin with the washing guide.
First of
all, unscrew the cap off the bottle and fill it up to about the half of the
bottle, then pour it out, then fill it again this time about 70% full, if you
happen to have some around, add some liquid soap or a dash of lemon juice can
be used as an alternative to remove odours, screw the lid on and shake it
forcefully, then empty it out and rinse it off, you can reduce the amount of
water wasted while cleaning the bottle by simply using the water again with any
other items you need to rinse off, and there you go, your SodaStream Bottle is
ready for the next drink.
Different Bottles
Water temperature
In
SodaStream's official guide, they say that water should not be hotter than 120
fahrenheit, or 48 celsius if you prefer. Otherwise the BPA free material will
be damaged and will release plastic in your future drinks, and of course, you
don’t want that to happen.
Some of the
dishwasher safe bottles can be treated with hotter water, but not for too long,
so leave the job to the automation of dishwashers, and don’t leave the bottles
resting in hot water as you would do with your skillets or other cooking
devices, as your product would find itself severed and not in the conditions
for further use, which would require a rather expensive replacement.
Conclusions
To sum it up
we can say that a SodaStream Bottle can be washed as if it was any other kind
of vase, but not with hot water, it is easy to use and wash, and that with a
couple of tips you will have no trouble whatsoever the next time you have to do
the dishes, we could probably say that even if it is a little expensive, it’s
good design and reliability makes their product worth the cost, and if you can
afford it, the SodaStream Machines are a way perfect and healthy way to cheer
up your day with an unusual drink, and keeping your bottle clean is the best
way to take advantage of it.
